Biography

Richard Berman-Hardman joined one of Australia’s largest ecotourism operations, Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, Cairns, as General Manager in 2016. Prior to this he spent 10 years as Director Operations and Commercial at Australia’s foremost outdoor museum, Sovereign Hill, Ballarat and was promoted to the senior team at the National Trust of Australia (Vic) after managing the Old Melbourne Gaol Crime and Justice Experience from 1999-2004. Richard is a graduate of RMIT’s tourism program, holds an MBA from Curtin University Business School andhas contributed to various boards including Cultural Tourism Victoria and Visit Ballarat. Richard is passionate about conservation, driven in the pursuit of presenting world-class Australian visitor experiences and is fortunate to have led teams that have netted 5 state and 4 national tourism awards over his career.
