Biography
Catherine Basterfield is the CEO of Phillip Island Nature Parks (the Nature Parks), a State Government conservation organisation funded through ecotourism experiences on Phillip Island. Catherine has worked with the Nature Parks since 2009 in financial and operational leadership roles before being appointed to the role of CEO in March 2017.
Catherine has a passion for the natural environment and enjoys the challenge in demonstrating that our visitor economy can work to protect and improve conservation outcomes.
Prior to joining the Nature Parks, Catherine held roles at KPMG Australia in the auditing field, where she gained her qualification as a Chartered Accountant and at Bupa in the UK in a finance management position.
